Access and Use of Information by the Business Alliance and Others

Use of and Access to Contact Information

Business Alliance staff has access to all information collected from the membership and the general public, including all information collected on this web site.  A visitor's contact information, including       e-mail, postal address, phone and fax numbers, will be used by the Business Alliance staff to keep the visitor informed about Business Alliance events, activities, opportunities and news. This information also may be used by the Business Alliance to contact visitors regarding their membership or account status. 
 
The Business Alliance does not sell or otherwise share mailing labels, event registration lists, broadcast email or newsletter distribution lists with Business Alliance members, sponsors, underwriters, partners or speakers.  Nor does it make this information available to the general public.  

Use of Financial Information

When payment is received by the Business Alliance from a visitor to our web site, the relevant credit card or other financial account information is used by PayPal and their merchant account processors to execute the transaction.  Only the last four digits of the credit card number and the contact information for the holder are stored by PayPal and accessible to Business Alliance staff to show evidence of the transaction.   
The Business Alliance staff may share an A/R list and membership/sponsor amount information with the members of its Board or Finance Committee from time to time for financial management and budgeting purposes. However, no credit card or other financial account information is shared with Business Alliance members or others.  The Business Alliance will not conduct a transaction utilizing credit card or other financial account information without the authorization of the account holder.

Source of Information
The information regarding Business Alliance members and others, their events or activities which is found on our web site and other electronic or print publications is derived from information received directly from the members or others whose information is posted.  Members should contact the This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Visitor Tracking Practices

When someone visits the Business Alliance web site, the web server automatically recognizes the visitor’s IP address.  IP addresses are collected only for purposes of tracking site usage.

Photos/Videos/Podcasts

Videos and Podcasts published on the Business Alliance website are obtained directly from members or speakers, or are taken with the permission of those being recorded.  The Business Alliance does publish video footage or photographs of attendees at Business Alliance events.  (If you prefer to not have a photo/video of you attending a Business Alliance event posted on the web site, please notify the Business Alliance in writing.)

The Business Alliance web site serves as a means of exchanging substantive information relevant to entrepreneurs, innovators and growing companies.  The Business Alliance does not verify, endorse, or assume responsibility for the content submitted to the site by member organizations.  

Changes in the Privacy Policy

If the Business Alliance changes its web site functionality and information practices in the future, the policy changes will be posted to this web site.
