Neuronascent, Inc. is developing small molecule therapeutics for Alzheimer’s disease, stroke and depression. Neuronascent’s development platform utilizes a “neurogenesis” screen to identify agents that stimulate the proliferation of human neural stem cells into mature neurons. The company believes this ability to promote neurogenesis in the human brain, could have significant benefit for patients having any of a number of neurological disorders. Neuronascent has identified four families of novel neurogenic agents from the screens and has determined that they are safe in a rodent toxicity model. Neuronascent has submitted two provisional patents and one PCT application on these lead structural families. The next phase of our therapeutic development program will be to test the lead compounds in animal behavioral models of Alzheimer’s disease, and depression. With efficacy in animal disease models, Neuronascent should be able to attract pharmaceutical partners for the co-development of these lead candidates.  Neuronascent is seeking $500,000.00 in funding to further develop one lead candidate family for Alzheimer’s disease and another lead family for depression. These funds would allow Neuronascent to move quickly into animal models of disease and into preclinical testing, will offset operational expenses, allow one to two technical hires, and cover further IP charges.

New Hope Pharmaceuticals, Inc.is a developer of patented technology which provides more effective therapy options and improves outcomes for cancer patients by quickly determining--pre-treatment--the selection and optimum dosage of chemotherapy drugs, and also accelerates drug discovery by providing a fast, accurate methodology for drug efficacy appraisal in vitro.

The Bill Police, LLC
is a wireless bill auditing firm which uses a patent pending service method   with proprietary software to create a model for plan optimization and then audit the bills on a monthly basis by comparing to this baseline thereby substantially reducing the customer's cell phone service bills.

The company helps businesses manage their wireless (cellular) bills by providing effective use of wireless technology with the lowest cost for a customer's subscribers (phone numbers). The company has been shown to consistently and substantially save the customer money by reducing the customer's cell phone service bills.

Businesses are overpaying their wireless bills by an average of 25% every month. This is an opportunity to reclaim over $25 billion in savings every year; or, left alone, to allow $2 billion per month of waste. This waste is where The Bill Police makes its impact; it uses a patent pending service method with proprietary software in 2 steps: (i) Baseline: Create a model for plan optimization: right plan, right minutes, right coverage, right price. (ii) Audit the bills on a monthly basis by comparing to this baseline.

This includes:

· Simplify and customize the bill
· Identify and correct billing exceptions to the baseline
· Suggest alternative rate plans for wireless carriers
· Identify historical trending and identify alternative services

The Bill Police is seeking up to $2 million in funding to expand its proven business model with marketing and sales rollouts, together with operating capital to support its expansion into regional/national service models.

Balywho is seeking $2 million to fund for rapid growth into these properties, and for on-going operational expenses.

Transactis, Inc.

Transactis has a unique, patent-pending bill payment service that facilitates secure ACH and credit card payments within the email itself.  Today, the only “electronic billing” option is online billing, which uses a web site and email is used only as a reminder tool.  Over the past 2 ½ years the company has proven that email recipients are 20-to-200% more likely to conduct a transaction in an email versus on a website, if given the choice.  Still, while companies seek to convert customers from paper to electronic billing, the typical company has succeeded at moving only 5% of its customer base off of paper. The key reasons include operational complexity, too many web pages and clicks, and challenges in simple tasks such as saving and printing copies of bills,Transactis’ email billing product, BillMail™, gives billers a more user-friendly e-billing product that is more likely to be accepted by consumers as the best alternative to paper billing.  The company has raised approximately $1MM to date.Transactis has an experienced management team, with experience in both startups and large companies, including transaction-based services firms such as ADP.  It has a full pipeline of utility companies, one of the country’s top billing vendors and two Fortune 100 companies. The company currently is seeking investment of $2M for working capital--primarily sales and marketing.  Contact: Tom Kohn, Co-Founder/CEO—Transactis, Inc.; 301-404-2779; tkohn@transactis.com

Advanced Vision Therapies, Inc.

Advanced Vision Therapies, Inc. (AVT) is an early stage drug discovery company that is entirely focused on the development of sustained, potentially life-long therapies for the major blinding eye diseases. AVT was founded by three scientific directors, formerly with Novartis, to commercialize their pivotal research in localized, ocular-based therapies. The ocular diseases, such as age-related macular degeneration, have multi-billion dollar markets and significant unmet medical needs, yet have been underserved by large pharma. Recent clinical trial data suggest that these diseases will be treatable, but with therapeutics that must be repeatedly injected directly into the eyes. AVT recognized that an improved delivery system is required to enable the broad application of ocular therapeutics. AVT identified a novel therapeutic and developed a proprietary delivery system, which, with a single administration will provide sustained, possibly life-long, therapy. AVT is seeking $2M to complete the research and early development for AVT's first product.
