“There is an admirable consistency of technique and appearance throughout Kunc’s oeuvre of colour woodcuts. For 20 years she has remained dedicated to her process, through scores of editions, the circumspect evolution of imagery and capricious print world fashion. She has cleverly avoided inertia and repetition, and has developed a technical fluency to match her imagination. Now she begins to approach true mastery of her medium. It is exciting to see."

*Friends of Art/Navigation Press, a membership opportunity for collecting the latest in contemporary art. Building on the national reputation developed by George Mason University’s Department of Art and Visual Technologies, Navigation Press, a master printmaking and publishing program, was established in 2006.

George Mason University’s Navigation Press invites distinguished artists with works in leading museum collections around the country to make prints in collaboration with a team of printmaking faculty and graduate and undergraduate students at Mason.

World-renowned artists Renee Stout and Bill Dunlap have separately participated in this program sharing their time and expertise with Friends of Art members, faculty and students at George Mason University. Membership in Friends of Art offers an original print signed by the artist, private social gatherings and dinners, demonstrations and tours, and the satisfaction of supporting an outstanding educational process for George Mason University students.
