In-Q-Tel, a private, non-profit enterprise funded by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), was formed to identify and invest in cutting-edge technology solutions that serve U.S. national security interests. OnPoint, was formed to discover, invest in and support companies and programs developing innovative mobile power and energy technologies that can be used by its funding source, the U.S. Army. The Fairfax County BioAccelerator was formed to be a focal point and catalyst for the growth and convergence of the bioscience, bioinformatics and biotechnology industries in Fairfax County. Arrowhead Technology Ventures is the new fund sponsored by COMSOC.
