Business Alliance Activities

The Business Alliance offers a wide range of opportunities to interact with members of the business and academic communities.  Members volunteer for traditional activities connecting industry to campus such as student project hosts, guest lecturers, advisory board members, mock interviewers and capstone project evaluators.  Other partnership activities and events vary each year depending upon the interests of our members and George Mason University partners. The topics covered are as broad as are those taught at the university and include: Management, Entrepreneurship, Information Technology, Engineering, K-12 Education, Quality Improvement in Healthcare, Ethics, the Arts and more!

Below are several of our most popular regular programs.

Grubstake Breakfast

The area’s longest-running investor and networking forum, the Grubstake breakfasts feature presentations by four or five promising young companies seeking $250K to $2M in investment capital and insight regarding these presentations and the investment climate in general from a panel of VC/angel experts.
